ARM's Annual Convention, typically held the middle of December, provides an opportunity for members to review and discuss issues of interest and concern to the industry and to hear from notable speakers on a variety of topics. The 2007 Annual Convention was held December 12-13th at The Depot in downtown Minneapolis in conjunction with the Building Excellence Awards. A total of 259 people were registered for both events. Highlights from the 2007 Annual Convention include a Legislative Breakfast featuring Governor Tim Pawlenty; presentations by representatives from the National Stone Sand and Gravel Association, the National Ready Mixed Concrete Association, the Portland Cement Association, the Insulating Concrete Form Association, the Green Institute; presentations of the ARM Lifetime Achievement Award and Member of the Year Award; and a tour of the I-35 Bridge Construction Site.
